SEVEN DEADLY SINS

For this project we were tasked with making a newspaper about the seven deadly sins or the seven heavenly virtues using a provided template. I chose to work with the seven deadly sins. Each sin needed its own composition created within specific constraints such as designs based in found imagery, collage, typography, hand lettering, photography, and other specifications. The final product is a tabloid printed on 55gsm paper by the Newspaper Club. More on this project including original imagery, inspiration, and designs that were not used in the final project can be found here
cover design featuring a monotone snake placed over the painting 'The Sea of Ice' by Caspar David Friedrich, meant to reference the center of hell in Dante's Inferno where satan lies frozen in ice
spread for 'lust' featuring an analog collage made with magazine cut outs, stickers, and colored paper
spread for 'wrath' featuring a digital collage using found imagery
spread for 'pride' featuring a photograph of a still life containing the word pride in letters cut from colored paper
